2006 GRSA Invitational Pictures

The annual GRSA Invitational was sailed on Saturday and Sunday, May 6 & 7. We had a fair turnout of club boats, with 4 Flying Scots, 3 Day Sailers and 2 boats in a handicap fleet. Saturday provided sunny, warm weather with variable wind conditions that ranged from calm to gusty and stiff for the 3 races sailed. Conditions changed considerably for the Sunday meet, with temperatures dropping to the high 50’s, heavy cloud cover, but steady winds in the 12-15 knot range.

Two races were completed before Bob Lambert and Bob Serfass, manning the Race Committee boat called it a day. Captain Doug Bare and crew, Lynn Bare captured First Place for the Flying Scots; Captain Bob Blake and crew, Jenna Ogden finished in First Place for the Day Sailer fleet and Scott Racette with crew Kyle Racette and Laura O’Neil won the Handicap fleet.
