Our annual Junior Sail Camp will be held June 22nd-26th, with the Jr. Regatta on June 27th. It will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 or 3:30 p.m. depending on conditions. Under the direction of Bill Kitchens, the children will spend the week learning about sailing while also having fun. Although Pirate Day and Pizza Day are always big hits, many participants stated that their favorite thing about sail camp were all the games they played (which were actually sailing drills!)! Another not to be missed highlight, is the Jr. Regatta at the completion of the camp.

Sail Camp registration is now open! Please choose one of the links below for the application:

As always Members and relatives of Members have priority, followed by people on the Wait List. Non-members who have a sponsor willing to take responsibility for them will be accepted on a first come basis as space allows. After May 15th, all registration will be on a first come basis so that we may notify non-members if they have been accepted or not. Junior Sail Camp is for ages 9 years old and up, although some 8 year olds have been accepted in the past if they have sailing experience and are approved by the Sail Camp Director.

The cost of the camp will be $150 for members and $200 for non-members. In the past Sail Camp has filled up quickly so if you know a child who is interested in spending an exciting week learning more about Sailing, we encourage you to sign them up early!

In order for Sail Camp to be successful, we need members to lend us their sunfishes and lasers! If you are willing to lend a child your boat, click the link below to review the permission form. If you rather, you may also call Debbie Taminger, Sail Camp Registrar, at #639-0973 and she will mail you the form.

If you have any questions concerning the Junior Sail Camp or lending a boat, please contact Bill Kitchens or Debbie Taminger. You may also call Debbie at #639-0973.

Please carefully review the program information PDF Icon so the parents/guardians and students completely understand the sail camp activities.

Please be sure you attend the Sunday orientation session - this is important for getting off to a good start Monday morning.
